FMPF es una plataforma artística gratuita para cualquiera que quiera compartir su voz, experiencias y recuerdos con el resto de su ciudad a través de retratos individualizados de arte callejero. Nuestro objetivo es celebrar y promover las historias y las personas que conforman la ciudad de Buenos Aires.
FMPF is a free artistsic platform for anyone who wants to share their voice, experiences, and memories to the rest of their city through individualized street art portraits that we create. Our goal is to celebrate and promote the stories and people that make up the city of Buenos Aires.
Creemos que al comprender y comprometernos con la historia o la voz de cada residente, podemos construir puentes entre las personas en toda la ciudad y fortalecer las comunidades para que todos puedan conocer las visiones o experiencias de los demás.
Cada persona tiene algo que aportar para el resto de la ciudad como colectivo para aprender y crecer de una manera positiva. Esperamos expandir nuestro proyecto hasta el punto de poder crear una red en línea que permita a las personas conectarse y retribuirse entre sí no solo en Buenos Aires, sino en todo el mundo.
Lxs residentes encuentran nuestros retratos en la ciudad y nos escriben a través de nuestras redes sociales para participar. Les una foto de ellxs y les enviamos un cuestionario que nos permite conocerlxs mejor. En ese cuestionario, preguntamos, por ejemplo, de qué están orgullosos, qué situaciones difíciles experimentaron y cómo los superaron, qué sueños tienen, cómo se conforma su identidad. Todas estas preguntas nos ayudan a construir los retratos con el carácter indicado de cada persona. De esta manera creemos que la voz de la comunidad se exterioriza, mostrando sus diferencias culturales.
Nos inspira la diversidad y la capacidad de transmitir mensajes que pueden ayudarnos a vivir mejor juntos. Creemos que al conocer y empatizar con la historia del otrx, podemos contribuir a reducir los prejuicios entre nosotrxs.
We believe that by understanding and being committed to each resident's story or voice, we can create a bridge between individuals throughout the city, and strengthen communities by everyone getting to know each others view or experiences in life.
Each person has something to contribute for the rest of the city as a collective to learn and grow from in a positive way. We hope to expand our project to the point of being able to create an online network that will allow people to connect and give back to each other not only in Buenos Aires, but worldwide.
The residents find our portraits in the city and they write to us through our social media to participate. We ask for a photo of them and we send them a questionnaire that allows us to know them better. In that questionnaire, we ask, for example, what they are proud of, what difficult situations theywent through and how they overcame them, what dreams they have, how their identity was formed. All these questions help us to build the portraits with the indicated character of each person. In this way we believe that the voice of the community is externalized, showing its cultural differences.
We are inspired by diversity and the ability to transmit messages that can help us live better together. We believe that by knowing and empathizing with the history of the other, we can contribute to reduce the prejudices between us.
